Book summary:
It starts out a normal day for Amari Peters. She’s with her best friends, and the day is going great. But when she gets a fortune cookie telling her to “beware of unseen dangers”, her whole day turns upside down.
Later, on the school bus, time freezes, but no one seems to notice except Amari. Then, the worst happens. Dylan van Helsing escapes from prison. Amari and her friends discover that the time freeze froze someone important. Prime Minister Merlin. And the vice president is anything but nice.
And there someone else at the Bureau seems bad: Director Harlowe. And with Dylan back… it’s just too much for Amari. Soon, the mysterious League of Magicians reaches out to her and offers her the chance to rule them. She says no. But then, Dylan would be their next choice.
