Book summary:
Eva Joyce grew up not knowing her grandmother. Grandmother lived in England, Eva in Connecticut. So, when Eva and her mother go to visit her grandmother, it is a shock for Eva to discover what she is like.
Upon arrival in Carrick Hall, where Grandmother lives, Eva starts to hear rumors and whispers about the Tales of Ternival, a fairy tale that Eva loved as a child. What are the rumors? That’s Eva’s grandmother was once a queen of Ternival.

Thoughts: I stayed up until one in the morning reading this book. It is incredible. I could definitely sense some Narnia vibes here. I can’t wait to read the second book in this series, called Once a Castle!!
