Book summary:

Peter Nimble is blind. And he’s also the greatest thief who ever lived. One day, while he is out thieving for his master, he stumbles across a mysterious yet ordinary-looking box. And, of course, he steals it. Inside the box, he finds three pairs of fantastic eyes. Using one pair, he suddenly finds himself transported to the magic island of a certain Professor Cake.

The Professor tasks Peter with saving a place called the Vanished Kingdom, a kingdom that… vanished.

With the help of Sir Tode, a cat-horse-man, Peter travels to the Vanished Kingdom, and there discovers that an evil king has taken over the kingdom and killed the true king.

Only the daughter of the true king remains alive out of all the royal family… or so everyone thinks. Can Peter find the other missing heir, and save the kingdom, and the whole world, from the brink of destruction?

Thoughts: I literally cannot tell you how wonderful this book is!! Peter Nimble is one of my favorite fictional book characters, ever. Jonathan Auxier is amazing, and his books are so well-written. (Also, I love how the Scop comes into all—I think— of his books!)
