Book summary:
Told in three parts: Finn, Rey and Poe.
Finn (FN-2187) starts out as a stormtrooper, who, even among his fellows, is an outsider. He doubts if he is doing the right thing. Is he?
Rey is a scavenger living on Jakku. She tears apart old spaceships to find working pieces to sell. One day, she discovers something that could change her scavenging life. Can she keep her secret hidden from those who would take it from her?
Poe grew up fighting for the right thing. His parents fought for the Rebellion. He is a commander for the New Republic. He and his squadron are on patrol, and they discover fragments of a rising evil, but the leaders of the New Republic don’t seem to think of it as a threat. So, Poe goes to the Resistance, who are rising to fight the evil. Surely they will be able to use his information?

Thoughts: Yes, there are books about Star Wars. I’ve read a bunch of them; and there are a lot. I’ve even written some fan fictions about Star Wars! This one paints us a good picture of Rey, Poe and Finn’s lives before the events in The Force Awakens.
