Book summary:
Two siblings. A secret code. A mysterious disappearance. And a world war.
Fourteen-year-old Lizzie and nineteen-year-old Jakob are orphans. Their father died when they were young, and their mother was killed in Poland on a mission with the American embassy. Or so they think.
Recently, hidden messages have come to Jakob and Lizzie, and it’s up to them, with the help of Lizzie’s friends, to solve them.
Both Lizzie and Jakob work at Bletchley Park, the top-secret codebreaking headquarters in England. Jakob is a codebreaker; Lizzie is a messenger.
On top of everything, its 1940 and Hitler is advancing. His attack is inevitable. But when is it coming? Can Jakob decipher when the German attack is coming to Britain, and can Lizzie find out what happened to their mother, before time runs out?
